Job Description:

Amazon is looking for a passionate and experienced Payroll Specialist to join its growing payroll team in Hyderabad. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a real difference in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

In this role, you’ll manage the end-to-end payroll process for employees across multiple locations in India. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders while ensuring statutory compliance and timely reporting. You’ll also get the chance to work on continuous improvement projects, enhancing payroll efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete payroll cycle for employees across different locations in India.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers.
• Ensure statutory compliance, audit readiness, and benefits administration.
• Review payroll computations for accuracy and tax compliance.
• Conduct audits of payroll tax and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Drive and support payroll system/process changes and improvements.
• Lead year-end payroll activities and reconciliations.
• Handle escalations, delegate tasks effectively, and guide the payroll team.
• Focus on employee growth, motivation, and engagement.

Requirements:

• At least 4+ years of finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls and payroll procedures.
• Proven ability to use data for business decision-making.
• 4+ years of India payroll processing experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in continuous improvement projects within payroll or finance teams is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
